Run DOS programs in FreeBSD PDF
Sunday, 25 November 2012
Yeah, I know DOS is very obsolete and not used for a long time but if you really want to run an DOS app under FreeBSD you can using dosbox:

  cd /usr/ports/emulators/dosbox
  make install clean; rehash

Then run dosbox from FreeBSD's command line:

  dosbox

From within dosbox window in order to access the directory where your DOS apps are located run:

  mount c: /home/john/mydosapps

(where /home/john/mydosapps is the path where your DOS programs are located).

To exit the emulator type:

  exit
