If you search this website, there's a tip on how to take screenshot of an xorg app using scrot. But what if you have KDE4 installed. Well, there's a tool for taking screenshots (snapshots) of you screen or window called ksnapshot:

  cd /usr/local/kde4/bin/ksnapshot
  make install clean
  ln -s /usr/local/kde4/bin/ksnapshot /usr/local/bin/ksnapshot

This is the easiest way to take screenshots of your FreeBSD KDE-based graphical environment, by using ksnapshots app.
