Modify permision of files and directories in FreeBSD PDF
Thursday, 21 July 2011
Let's say we want to modify permision of all files and directories from current directoy and all subdirectories to different values for files vs directories. We want 755 for directories and 644 for files. The simplest way to do this is using find piped to xargs:

  find ./ -type -d -print0 | xargs -0 chmod 755
  find ./ -type -f -print0 | xargs -0 chmod 644
