Today Quick Tip: Copy everyting except .svn directories PDF
Sunday, 20 March 2011
Sometimes we want to get rid of .svn directories that are created when we use Subversion.

It is possible to accomplish that with a simple command line:

find . -print | grep -Ev '/(CVS|\.svn)' | cpio -dumpv /home/john/destdir

The previous command will copy everything except .svn directories from current directory to /home/john/destdir directory.

If we want to just delete .svn directories we can use the following command:

find . -print | grep -E '/(CVS|\.svn)' | xargs rm -rf
