Today Quick Tip: Unzip multiple .gz files in a subdir tree PDF

If you have multiple subdirectories with .gz files in a directory you can use:

  gunzip -r *

All subdirectories will be traversed recursively and every .gz file will be unzipped. Original .gz file will be deleted (renamed).
